Montoya Givens is one of the missing Detroit rappers from January 21, with two other rappers named Armani and Dante.
According to Detroit Police, multiple Michigan agencies are investigating what happened to three rappers who went missing ten days ago after a canceled performance at a club.
Michael McGinnis, commander of significant crimes, revealed that the mother of one of the missing victims reported the missing person the next day and became very proactive in the investigation, searching for her vehicle through OnStar.
According to McGinnis, Montoya Givens, 31, Armani Kelly, 28, and Dante Wicker, 31, were all scheduled to perform at a club in Detroit on January 21.
McGinnis said they understood that the performance had been canceled and now had a slew of unanswered questions. He went on to say that all of their phones had stopped working by the early morning hours of January 22.

Givens and Wicker were not listed on the NamUS database, but the Detroit Police Department confirmed to N.B.C. News that they had both filed missing person reports.
Kelly’s mother, Lorrie Kemp, filed a report the morning after his scheduled performance. She tracked his truck down to an apartment complex in Warren, about 15 miles north of Detroit, using the vehicle’s tracking service. She canvassed the neighborhood and distributed flyers on Gratiot Street, where Loung 31 is located.

According to Kemp, Kelly had picked up Montoya and Dante before the concert. Kemp told WDIV that talking to Dante’s mother and girlfriend breaks her heart. She also expressed regret that her son had picked up Montoya and Dante.
