Official Weigh-in Results For 2023 PFL Challenger Series Week 1

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – The Professional Fighters League, the fastest-growing and most innovative sports league in the world, held official weigh-ins for Week 1 of the 2023 PFL Challenger Series, featuring fighters in the Welterweight division. PFL Challenger Series is available on Fubo Sports, the live, free-to-consumer TV network from FuboTV Inc. (NYSE: FUBO).

Headlining the first card for this year’s PFL Challenger Series Brazil’s Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa takes on undefeated Georgian Itso Babulaidze. Barbosa weighed in at 170.4 pounds and reenters the world of MMA for the first time since 2012. Babulaidze, meanwhile, weighed in at 170.6 pounds and will be looking to keep his undefeated streak intact. 

The second fight on the card features American Eric Alequin going head to head against Haiti’s Thad “Silverback” Jean in a battle of undefeated stars. Alequin weighed in at 169.4 pounds, while Jean weighed 170.6 pounds. 

Also on the card, Zach “Juice” Juusola of the United States faces Slovakian submission specialist Jozef Wittner. Juusola weighed in at 170.8 pounds, while Wittner weighed in at 171 pounds. 

Kendly St. Louis will step in for Mostafa Rashed Nada after he was not medically cleared to compete.  A new catchweight matchup between Americans Kendly St. Louis and Nick “JC’ Alley is set. Louis weighed in at 174.4 pounds, while Alley weighed in at 173.2 pounds.

• Welterweight bout:  Lucas Barbosa (170.4 lbs.) vs. Itso Babulaidze (170.6 lbs.)
• Welterweight bout: Eric Alequin (169.4 lbs.) vs. Thad Jean (170.6 lbs.)
• Welterweight bout: Zach Juusola (170.8 lbs.) vs. Jozef Wittner (171 lbs.)
• Catchweight bout: Kendly St. Louis (174.4 lbs.) vs. Nick Alley (173.2 lbs.)
