According to the Italian News article, Gianfranco, a longtime technology Leader, was 68 and left behind a wife and three children.

At Acer, he helped grow the notebook PC division, taking the Company to market leadership in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

According to American market information advisory firm Gartner, Acer shipped about 45.26 million PCs, representing a growth of 13.8 percent from the previous year and accounting for about 12.9 percent of the worldwide market that year.

According to sources, before joining the computer brand Acer in 2001, Gianfranco gained the presidential post of Texas Instruments in EMEA. Straightforward style.
