Former Real Madrid legendary forward Gareth Bale has entered the limelight again but this time not as a footballer as the ex-Welsh star showcases his amazing skills in a bright start to his golfing career.
The former Welsh captain exhibited great and fascinating technique in his PGA Tour debut, on Thursday, February 2nd, 23 days after announcing his retirement from professional football on January 9.
Gareth Bale, who was at Real Madrid between the season of 2013-2022 joined Major League Soccer team Los Angeles FC on 27 June 2022, where he made 12 appearances before he hung his boot in January to venture into the golfing profession.
The 33-year-old former Wales captain barely played for the MLS outfit Los Angeles FC due to fitness issues, and neither could he help his country escape the group stage of the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup.
According to Transfermarkt, Bale has made a combined 554 appearances for Southampton, Tottenham, Real Madrid, and LAFC, and he scored over 180 goals.
Throughout his club career, the 33-year-old Welsh International won five Champions League trophies and three La Liga titles, all of which came during his playing time at Real Madrid.

The Pebble Beach event is held on three separate courses which started on Thursday, February 2nd at Spyglass Hill.
Meanwhile, Bale had the round one of his PGA Tour debut at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Thursday in a fascinating fashion.
The former Tottenham and Real Madrid superstar landed in a bunker on the opening hole.
But the beginner golfer maintained his composure and put off a stunning technique to get out of it.
The 33-year-old even had an admirable shot at a birdie, and then commendably tapped in for par in a delightful manner.
Meanwhile, leading professionals have praised Bale’s performance over the past month.
US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick and World No3 Jon Rahm showered praises on the astounding talent of the 33-year-old Wales international last month.
Rahm hilariously implied that the former Real Madrid legendary forward cannot be a world-class footballer and be a maestro in the gulf at the same time.
Rahm said: “I told Gareth, you can’t be so good at professional football and golf at the same time, it just doesn’t seem fair.”
Other professionals in Bale’s group include Yahoo Founder Jerry Lang and Swedish pro-David Lingmerth.
The Pebble Beach event has two more courses to run.
The Pebble Beach tournament’s next leg will be held at the Monterey Peninsula course today, February 3rd and the final round will hold at Pebble Beach the following day, Saturday, February 4th.
